KAALO has conducted a free Eye check-up campaign for 150 students and provided degree eyeglasses to 100 needy students. This was targeting school children in Shabelle IDP Camp in Garowe, and Budunbuto, Qabal villages under dangoroyo district.
The aim is to enhance the vision and learning capabilities of students by ensuring that vision problems are identified and addressed promptly. The target is mostly children from poor families who are not able to afford eye checks and also access eyeglasses.
This intervention was under the DPA-funded program and implemented by Kaalo Aid and Development.
